We read everything. A local paper is only as good as what the island tells it, and this one runs on tips: the restaurant that changed hands, the ferry that got rerouted, the surf that's suddenly worth a drive. If you saw it happen, we want the when, the where, and — if you have one — the photo.

What makes a useful tip

Specifics beat summaries: "the 3:30 boat turned back around 4:15 Tuesday" is a story we can check; "ferry trouble lately" isn't. Include how you know — saw it yourself, heard it from the crew, read it on a flyer — and whether we can use your name. We confirm before we publish either way, and we don't burn sources over ferry gossip.

Corrections

Got a fact wrong on any page? Same address. Corrections get fixed in the text and noted on the page, per the editorial policy. The person who emails us about a wrong ferry time is doing the island a favor and we treat it that way.
